How you see yourself on the INSIDE reflects
what you'll become on the OUTSIDE. What I'm talking about is your
self-image. You are the way you are now because of your memories. Your
memories, past experiences, successes, failures, humiliations and
triumphs have given you the self image that you have now.
You can never really rise above your
self-image.

Snapping
back
 |
|
You will always act like the sort of
person that you conceive yourself to be. No matter how hard you try to act like
something or someone else, no matter how hard you try to be more successful, to
eat healthier, to stop smoking, even though you are trying as hard as you can,
you will “always” return to the person that you feel you are. You cannot
escape your self-image. You may be able to do it for a short amount of time but
you will “snap back” just like a rubber band when extended between your two
fingers and stretched, it always comes back. |
A person who sees themselves to be a
failure, will always find a way to fail even if opportunity is dropped into
their lap. This snapback effect is universal.
A person who consistently sees
themselves as a victim, will always find a way to suffer. In a likewise
manner a person who sees themselves as always succeeding, in the event of any
miss fortune, will always find a way to rise above it.
Creating Habits -
New memories can be created with the power of your imagination, through what is
called guided imagery, meditation or hypnosis (which are virtually all the
same). You can visualize having attained the new habits that you would
like to have. In the subconscious mind, imagined memories hold the same
value as real memories. So by imagining new memories repeatedly, they will
become your new habit. Your new memories that you are creating will change
everything for you automatically

Consequences of Low Self-Image
Low self-esteem can have devastating consequences.
It can create anxiety, stress, loneliness and increased
likelihood for depression.
It can cause problems with friendships and relationships.
It can seriously impair academic and job performance.
It can lead to underachievement and increased
vulnerability to drug and alcohol abuse.
Worst of all, these negative
consequences themselves reinforce the negative self-image and can take a person
into a downward spiral of lower and lower self-esteem and increasingly
non-productive or even actively self-destructive behavior.
We hear and read of countless stories
on television and in the newspapers of people, many of which are famous actors,
politicians and even lottery winners who have such low self-image that even when
large sums of money or immediate success are dropped into their lap, they are
not able to succeed or keep it for very long. They ultimately snap back
who they really are, to the image of who they feel they are. We read about
them being on drugs, becoming alcoholics, having been arrested for various
offenses, becoming extremely depressed, and many times even committing suicide,
which is often the companion to a low self-image.
The good news is … it can be changed, and it is
never too late!
Now compare that scenario to someone
who has a very high self image such as Donald Trump or any other successful
person who has created the success on their own. In this case Donald’s high
self-image is what makes him successful. Even if he were to lose all of his
wealth, with his successful attributes and self-image, he will turn it back in a
relatively short time.

The behaviors that created your
self-image are ingrained within you from your memories of the past.
Your memories can not be canceled but
they can be recoded, so they are looked upon differently. They can be
rewritten, and most importantly … NEW memories can be created.
A habit, by definition, is an
acquired pattern of behavior that has become almost involuntary as a result of
frequent repetition.
Since a habit cannot be eliminated
the way you change it is by creating a new one.
1. It does not understand negative -
A good example of this would be simply closing
your eyes and trying not to imagine a pink elephant. In order to not imagine one
your mind must think of what it is not supposed to imagine. So you are making
your mind do the exact thing that you do not want it to do. Another example
would be telling a child “I don’t want to jump on your bed”. Now the child’s
mind has to figure out what you do not want it to do, and not understanding
negative, he begins to jump on the bed. Maybe a more correct statement would be,
“Your bed is for sleeping in.”
2. It does not understand sarcasm -
When you find yourself making statements such as
“This cold is killing me.” or “I’d give my right arm for a cold soda right now.”
These type of statements are dangerous to say, because your mind just might make
it so. Remember the age old quote “Be careful what you wish for because you may
just get it.”
3. It does not understand humor - The subconscious takes everything
that the conscious mind says literally, therefore humor is not understood, and
should never be put into suggestions for visualization.
4. It takes every command that that conscious mind states literally
- Since the conscious mind is geared negattively and is a creature of habit, it
is important to bypass the conscious mind through hypnosis so as to do the
proper suggestions to the subject.

83% of the hypnotizable population will “dream out” or “dump” the hypnotic
programming installed by a Hypnotherapist within 3 to 7 days rendering it
ineffective. Since most people don't remember their dreams, they are
unaware of dreaming out the hypnotic programming they received. This is why many
people that are hypnotized to stop smoking start smoking again within 3 to 7
days. What happened is the smoker dreamed out the hypnotic programming to stop
smoking, returned to his previous behavior, and started smoking again. This is
also true of people who are hypnotized to lose weight. They too will return to
their previous behavior and unhealthy eating within 3 to 7 days after undergoing
one hypnotic therapy session.
Studies conducted by Dr. Maxwell
Maltz, author of “Psycho Cybernetics” showed that positive self-taught or
positive thinking alone are not effective on the majority of subjects. The
reason for this is because of each person’s self-image.
Positive affirmations can help
you to feel good for a short period of time but ultimately do not work.
Because your self-image is still the same. It needs to change
first. Your self-image is the governing control mechanism in your mind -
and if you want to GROW - you've got to spend time on the INSIDE first.
You may find that you can stray for a short period of time in either
direction but ultimately you will spring back to your self-image just as
a stretched rubber band which will always spring back to its original
shape.
Rewarding success - Mini rewards
throughout your goal. The major reward will be the goal itself.
By Stephen Kraus, Ph.D. ? The most fundamental law
in all of psychology is the “law of effect", a principle of psychology
described by Edward Thorndike in 1898.” It simply states that actions
followed by rewards are strengthened and likely to recur. Unfortunately,
studies show that people rarely use this technique when trying to change
personal habits. Dieters, for example, routinely overlook weeks of
exercise and restrained eating, only to let a single lapse “snowball” into a
total relapse and complete collapse. Setting up formal or informal rewards for
success greatly increases your chances of transforming bad habits into good
ones.
From Wikipedia,
When each of us were first conceived
from the very first single cell we had a blueprint of health. This
blueprint of health that we began with stays with us throughout our entire life.
At any time throughout our lives we wish to reverse our disorders or negative
health conditions, we are all capable of returning to the original blueprints of
health. What is called for is faith and a sincere belief that it is
attainable. But the subconscious mind can conceive, it can achieve.
This blueprints of health is our measure throughout life. It is what tells
us that it is natural to be healthy, happy and affluent. that is the order
of the universe. Anything in opposition to this order, is considered a
disorder. Therefore anything that is contrary to health, happiness and
affluence can be reversed and returned to an orderly, functional state.
Thought stopping is a very simple yet
effective way to stop and unproductive or negative thought from continuing to
develop. This technique gives his subconscious the ability to correct negative
and replace it with the appropriate positive program. the procedure works
like this, any time a negative thought comes into your mind, whether it be from
others or from yourself, as soon as you notice it, simply shout to yourself the
word "cancel". By doing this you are breaking the flow of negative
thinking with the word cancel, which gives you a few moments to change your
trend of thought to a positive one. Yes you can continue to still think
negatively, but this gives you the opportunity to change your thought if you
wish.
Hypnosis can be successfully used for
virtually anything that you would like to improve upon. The only
limitations that it has is that of your imagination. Your subconscious
mind is always open and available to help you to excel.
Definitely yes. Hypnosis can be
the greatest help that you have ever had to help you to improve any condition,
but it is exactly that, "a help". It will not do it by itself. You
must give it your 100% commitment. Hypnosis can be compared to a set of
instructions that you would used to build a bookcase. Hypnosis, just like
they bookcase instructions, is flawless. What I mean by that is that it
always works, just like the instructions to a bookcase always work. If
they bookcase is not put together properly, or falls down, it is not because the
instructions of faulty, but it is because they were not followed correctly by
the person putting it together. Hypnosis is the same way. It will
always work if the subject follows the instructions properly and gives it their
100% commitment. The suggestions and scripts have been tried and proven on
thousands of clients successfully. They will also work on you if you
follow them properly.
Hypnosis will work for you, if you
have a sincere desire to change, are open-minded and giving you 100% effort.
Yes, hypnosis always works. It
is a procedure that has been tried in proven for l thousands of years. It
can be dated back to primitive times. The hypnosis itself is a scientific,
proven technique that if followed properly and given you 100% commitment, will
work. the only times I have seen that it did not work is when the client
did not give it their full commitment.
You have most likely fill the
feelings of hypnosis many times. It most closely resembles daydreaming.
You may have also been in hypnosis if you have ever come home from a long day's
work, sat down on your recliner to relax, and was so relaxed that someone spoke
to you, and even though you heard them you were incoherent. it was an
inconvenience to speak to them because you are so relaxed. That is what
hypnosis feels like to most people. It is the most relaxed to have ever
been, while still being awake. However you are able to hear everything
that is going on, and are completely and be your own control at all times.
No, you cannot place the guarantee on
the human mind. I can guarantee that I will do the best that I can and
conducting the session. I can guarantee that the suggestions given to you
are sound and proven. But I cannot guarantee that you will follow them.
that would be the same thing as saying, if you buy a membership to a gym, that
you are guaranteed that you will get in shape. A gym will know more offer
you a guarantee that you will look like a bodybuilder by buying their membership
and we can buy you attending a session. However in both cases, the more
you apply yourself the more effective the results will be.
Probably the only way that we can
guarantee that you will succeed in hypnosis would be if the hypnotherapist
followed to around everywhere you went to make sure that you followed your
suggestions. And unfortunately there are just not enough hypnotherapists
to go around.
Even in modern medicine, having a
prescription is not a guarantee that you will get healthy. Having the
prescription does you no good unless you actually take the prescription, and do
it properly.

It is possible to be treated
successfully in just one session however it has been proven through clinical
research that only 17% of the public will be completely successful after just
one session. The reason for this is that it takes an entire 21 days for
change. The mind has a way of dumping out suggestions and approximately
three to five days after they have been given. This is usually done
through the dreaming process, and is also known as "dreaming out". This is
why so many people who do come for just one session will do great for several
days and then find themselves suddenly back to their old habits.
Therefore is recommended that you come in for a minimum of four sessions, one
week apart.
There are many ways to quit smoking
on the market today. The one thing that they all have in common is that
they utilize the conscious mind only. The conscious mind only 5% of your
mind and is the repair negatively. This is why you always feel that you
are fighting yourself. And ultimately go right back to smoking, and
usually more than you did before. This is called the yo-yo syndrome.
With hypnosis you are using the strong subconscious mind which is 95% of your
mind. This is where changes are made. Hypnosis is the most
successful way to quit smoking available.
Are
you tired of the Yo-Yo system of losing weight and gaining it back again over
and over? It is truly frustrating for millions of Americans today.
The reason for this as we mentioned earlier is due to your self-image. No
matter how hard you try to rise above it, by trying all the different fad diets,
by counting calories, eating low or no carbs, purchasing special meals or
programs, and even exercising in a gym every day, you will still ultimately snap
right back to who perceive yourself to be. . . and that is a person who
overeats! it has nothing to do with a lack of willpower or dedication.
It is simply your self-image. In order to change on the outside you must
first change on the inside.
With this
program you can do that in as little as 21 days. During that
process you will be raising your self-esteem and creating daily
imagined memories of yourself as being a healthy, fit person.
there are also many other issues that will be addressed throughout
the process such as forgiveness and guilt release that will help you
to move forward in a positive healthy manner so that once you lose
the weight your newly developed self-esteem will keep you that way.
Once again
all that is called for is your commitment and the dedication to keep
with the program each and every day for an entire 21 days.
The minimum to low average weight
loss with hypnosis is approximately 1% of your body weight per week. If
you are a 300 pounds person then your minimum weight loss would be 3 pounds.
Anyone with reasonable intelligence
can be hypnotized. The only ones who may not be able to be hypnotized are people
with severe mental disability and children under the age of five, in both cases
it’s because they may not understand the words you are saying or be able to
follow your instructions. If you are able to read a book and follow simple
instructions you are hypnotizable, but only if you want to be. The only
requirement is the desire to be hypnotized (or at least allow it to happen) plus
an understanding of what they need to do in order to achieve the hypnotic state.
The degree, however, varies from person to person. Occasionally a different
induction method or a different therapist may be necessary. Most therapy
sessions do not require more than a light trance state which everyone can easily
achieve with a training.
Actually, it is
just the opposite! You are wide awake. You are very aware under hypnosis. You
are actually in a state of what is called hypersensitivity. All of your senses
are enhanced, your sight, hearing, taste, smell, emotions. It is closer to a
state of day dreaming or relaxing. You will be focused on the words of the
Hypnotherapist and outside sounds will seem to fade away.
No, the hypnotic state can be
terminated at any time you chose. It is your choice to enter the state and you
can always choose to leave it. If you were left in a hypnotic state by your
Hypnotherapist or by a hypnotic tape, you would either return to full
consciousness on your own or enter a natural sleep and awaken after a short
pleasant nap. In any case professional therapists are trained to awaken clients
reluctant to leave the trance state - in their own interests - after all, there
may be another client waiting for their session! There is no "trance" or "being
under anyone's power". That is merely HOLLYWOOD. There has never been a terminal
case of hypnosis in the emergency room.

No, it is no more dangerous than
sitting in a recliner, watching television. The only side effect will be that
you will be very relaxed afterwards. Every 15 minutes of hypnosis is equal to
approximately four hours of sleep.
Hypnosis
has been around for thousands of years. Hypnotherapy is simply therapy which
uses hypnosis as powerful tool to facilitate change. It is used world wide.
No,
only the natural power of your own mind is used to relieve symptoms and alter
unwanted behavior patterns. Hypnotherapy is non-addictive and safe with no
unwanted or unpleasant side effects.
Yes, all
the time. You do not go ‘out’, ‘under’ or ‘to sleep’. You are not unconscious.
You are in an alternative state of consciousness with a very narrow focus of
attention. You can hear everything that is being said. Nothing happens without
your consent. You have absolute control. However, you are extremely relaxed.
Yes, people
remember everything they or the therapist said during the session. In rare
instances the therapist might need to remind them of one or two points that were
talked about in order to trigger off the rest of the memory. It is possible for
the therapist to give a posthypnotic suggestion to forget what was said but this
is rarely used in therapy.
Yes,
usually from about the age of six, provided they can understand what is being
said, are intelligent and imaginative. Younger children can benefit from the
relaxation. In 1981 self hypnosis was introduced into the national curriculum in
Sweden. For children under the age of six, sleep hypnosis can be conducted with
great success.
Some therapists will touch you
on the wrist, shoulder, neck or forehead to test whether you are properly
relaxed or to assist you into a deeper state of hypnosis. They will seek your
permission first. Other than this form of contact, a therapist has no business
touching you. The vast majority of therapists are ethical, and transgressions
are rare.
According
to the ‘New Catholic Encyclopedia’, the Catholic Church (the largest Christian
organization in the world) feels that the ‘hypnotism is licit if used for licit
purposes’. Hypnotherapy is just a tool, albeit very powerful, which can help
people enlist the power of their own unconscious mind in order to solve their
own problems. In many respects the effect is similar to prayer or meditation. It
was also accepted by the Catholic Church as a proper procedure for it's members
in 1958.
Simple
problems like stress reduction or public speaking may only require as little as
one or two sessions of approximately 30-40 minutes. More deeply rooted problems
may require more sessions. Many Hypnotherapist offer a free initial assessment
consultation in which to meet you, assess your problem, determine your needs and
the likely number of sessions and agree an affordable fee per session.
No, CDs
will not do as well as an individual session because in individual session you
can be tested by the therapist to see how you react in your treatment can be

effective on as wide variety of subjects as possible as he uses many techniques
within it. even with all the updated clinical techniques that we use, the

No, you will not do anything
that you do not think is acceptable or against your nature. You cannot be ‘made’
to violate your own values or accepted patterns of behavior. You would either
reject the suggestion or come out of the hypnosis. You will hear everything that
is said. You are in complete control at all times.
